Ticc Tocc is a social network that allows you to connect the world through waking people up. We believe every morning begins with a new experience that will surprise you and connect you to the life of others.
The product idea begins with a few simple questions from Millennials: Why do I have morning depression? How do I motivate myself to wake up in the morning? Have you ever get bored with robotic and lifeless ringtones? Those questions might not happen on everyone, but they do occur on a group of curious and creative Millennials. To answer that, would it be awesome if you woke up by the sound of waves with a stunning beach sunrise from a person who lives in Bali?
Every platform serves two types of user, producer and consumer. By defining who they are and their archetypes, it gave us a clear understanding to define the core functionality of the product. Initially, the product direction was a game-driven app. After the user interview and research, we found out the social-driven is more suitable for our users and connect well with what we believe.
The design goal is to make our user feel surprised, fun and energized, so the design approach might be slightly different than designing for corporation. We have designed a various of theme and color palette in our design language. The background doesn’t stick into one, it changes and reflects to the time, location and weather conditions.
Speaking of fun, the gamification is always a fun and effective way to go, if you do it right. We created an achievement system for our users, encourage them to participate more and connect with the people around the world.
